The Botanical Perfume Studio is where my worlds meet - herbal, natural perfumery, sensory literacy and the emotional intelligence of plants. Every perfume I create begins with a simple belief. Plants are the antidote - To sameness. To noise. To overwhelm. To disconnection. To loss of presence in modern life. A custom perfume is not a product - it is a sensory portrait. A translation of your emotional landscape into scent.

My Scent Philosophy

I work exclusively with natural materials because they carry life, nuance and emotional depth. They shift with the skin, the season. They are never static, They are never generic. My approach is shaped by :

Who Wants Custom Perfume?

People who want a scent that feels intimate, grounded, emotionally resonant, botanically active, unlike anything available commercially. Clients often come to me when they want a scent that reflects a life transition, are sensitive to synthetic fragrance, want a perfume ritual, want a scent to support their personal world or want a botanical identity that feels true.

 

 

THE PROCESS

Local Customers - We need to talk! I will arrange a 60-90 minute consultation in the perfume studio, where we can explore your ideas and get to know your preferences in scent. Once we have decided on a scent concept I will begin making two possible perfumes for you. 

Distance Customers - Ideally, we can chat online. OR I will send you an email with questions and we can work out the direction of the scent . Then I will create two perfume samples based on what I have learned about you as well as what I know would work best as a balanced and harmonious blend.

After reflecting on the two samples, select your favourite. You can leave it as is or decide to make some changes. For the latter, we will discuss options and alterations to the blend. This adjustment will be made before the final perfume is created for you.

When the perfume has been finalised, blended, fixed, filtered and tested your custom perfume will be ready for collection or postage. You will also receive a short description of the blend, identifying the main notes and accords in the final perfume.

• 15mL extrait de perfume oil in glass flacon and dabber - Attar Style.
• 15mL extrait de perfume oil in a glass screw cap bottle. 
• Gift Certificates will be printed and mailed to the shipping address entered at checkout. Please advise in the order notes or an email details on TO, FROM plus any additional message you would like to include on the card.  NOTE: Ensure there is the correct address to send the certificate if you are wanting it mailed directly to recipient.
• The 15mL REFILL may be ordered if you have previously ordered a custom perfume. This will come in a plain amber bottle with a pipette to transfer to your original bottle. 
• The 30mL EDP spray (ethanol) can be purchased as an alternative to extrait de parfum oil 15ml. The process is a little different for ethanol based perfumes. (Do not select this option if you are an international order, as it requires hazardous goods shipping protocols.)

Please note:
• Perfumes take time to make and mature so availability is sometimes limited
• Your perfume formula is kept on file and it can reordered anytime. (Cost of refill is typically $100-$120 for 15mL)
• I do not make copies of other perfumes but can create something in the same genre. My perfumes are made exclusively from natural materials.
• The process from start to finish typically takes one session for local customers and 3-4 weeks for distance customers plus perfume maturation time.
